super duper warm

so this monday we're going to a football game to see cal vs the airforce. it's super duper cuz we got the tickets to this thing from the army and we also get a bus ride there (it's 3 hours away for us). so anyway, i wanted a new hat and a scarf. but i found this free pattern through ravelry (it's so great) and i'm loving this thing. the cowl is really long so it folds over on itself and makes it even warmer. i did knit it at a tighter gauge though so that it would fit more snuggly and not be all loose.
