charlotte finished in just 3 hours

boy do i love these fast knits. well amid my last minute christmas knitting i just had to make something for myself. it's not cold here yet. i live in texas and it just hasn't decided yet what season it wants to be. so right now it's fall. you know, when it's 72 and gorgeous during the day and then drops to the low 60s at night. so it's not cold enough for a sweater but i wanted something to just throw on over my tanks when it starts to cool off at nights. so...voila! i found this patter and i love it. it only took 3 hours so that made it even better. it's like a poncho but what i love about it is that it's short. it covers the shoulders only.

specs:
pattern: charlotte by theresa venning in rowan 38
yarn: big wool in smudge
needles: 15 and 17
time: 3 hours!!!
mods: i did it in the round. that was it! i loved it the way it was. only thing i want to do is cast on few sts next time and wait for those decs at the markers. it'll stop the pointy thing from happening and it won't flare at those points either.

Your "charlotte" is great. I've been looking for a similar item for this fall. It is in the Rowan 38 book? I'll have to look for it. Thanks for the inspiration!
